In 2018, I spent three months at the adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm in New York for on-site consumer deep-dive at NYC’s most legendary basketball courts. We also engaged in a basketball community project.
As part of this initiative, we connected with the kids from the local community of the Christopher Wallace (The Notorious B.I.G.) court and supported them in organizing a local community tournament. We invited the players to the Farm to co-create and design the team jerseys with us. Each jersey was named after one of Biggie Smalls' most famous tracks.
I was responsible for documentation and storytelling, and also executed a Jersey graphic design based on the sketches, mood boards and inspirations that the kids developed together with us in the workshop.
Our aim was to inspire young people by showcasing the power of creativity, and how sports can be instrumental in achieving one's goals, drawing inspiration from the legacy which Biggie left in music and culture until today.
